For the second month in a row, subcompact cars and hybrid vehicles are now at the top the list of vehicles that are experiencing the largest decline in the number of searches at the cars.com website.

“At this point, it seems like some of those searches are translating into sales, as most automakers reported a surge in truck and SUV sales,” said Patrick Olsen, the managing editor at Cars.com. “It will be interesting to see if SUV sales keep their momentum as we head into 2007.”
