Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite Converts Sirius Stratus to Low Cost Portable Satellite Radio

New Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite portable power and super micro antenna system introduced to convert the newly released SIRIUS STRATUS “plug and play” satellite radio into LIVE portable satellite radio. Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite combined with the Sirius Stratus radio is lighter than iPOD. The super micro antenna weighs under an ounce and is the size of a postage stamp.

Xstar systems, designed and manufactured by Micro Information Services Inc, have been on the market via Internet web and eBay store since 2005. Xstar enables satellite radio customers of Sirius and XM to use their inexpensive “plug and play” radios as true live portable systems, running on common AA or AAA batteries, either disposable or rechargeable. Xstar computer controlled power management technology (patent pending) regulates power to the radio and provides circuit protection for the radio and batteries.

The Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite includes the AA and AAA battery power system and super micro satellite radio antenna. Xstar power systems, running on rechargeable or disposable AA or AAA batteries, provides longer run time and shorter recharge time than alternative systems available for portable use. In addition, the Xstar super micro antenna outperforms combined headphone/antenna systems, and permits customers to use their own comfortable high quality headphones.

Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite provides a very low cost alternative to the $400 portables on the market, and, is more versatile with AA/AAA battery power and high performance super micro antenna. The Xstar Power Play Ultra Lite with the Sirius Stratus radio sells for $138.

Xstar is a revolutionary concept that capitalizes on the wide availability and rapid recharge time of common household batteries and feature rich, but inexpensive, “plug and play” satellite radios. “Our Xstar Power Play is very light weight. The antenna is tiny, yet powerful”, says Rosemary Nyman, President of MIS, Inc. “Satellite radio provides customers with hundreds of channels, but, the portable radios are very expensive, many costing over $400. Xstar systems make portable live satellite radio affordable, for under $140, including Xstar and the cost of the radio. And, with AA or AAA batteries, power is always available. Xstar and most of the ‘plug and play’ radios have been in use on commercial airlines, cruise ships, trains and buses, while bicycle riding, walking, or simply relaxing by the pool.”

The full line of Xstar systems support more than 30 Sirius and XM satellite radios, including S50, Stratus, Sportster4, Starmate, RoadyXT, and Sportscaster, with prices ranging from $39 to $138.

XSTAR is not affiliated with XM or Sirius or any of the satellite radio manufacturers.
