Summit Racing Equipment Named Title Sponsor of NHRA POWERade Event at Norwalk Raceway

Summit Racing Equipment, the world’s largest direct mail and Internet supplier of high performance auto parts, has signed an agreement with the National Hot Rod Association to NHRA to become the title sponsor of the upcoming NHRA National Hot Rod Association POWERade Drag Racing Series event that will be held at the Norwalk Raceway Park (www.NorwalkRaceway.com). Norwalk Raceway Park has been renamed to Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park as part of a deal announced last week.
The inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA National Hot Rod Association Nationals will be held June 28, 2007 through July 1, 2007 as the 12th event on National Hot Rod Association’s twenty-three POWERade Series 2007 schedule. This is the first POWERade Series event to be held at the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park. Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park is located just about an hour’s drive from Summit Racing Equipment’s headquarters in Tallmadge, Ohio.
Track president Bill Bader, Jr., said advance ticket sales already set a one-week sales record for any race in the facility’s 44-year history. Advance ticket sales to ticket holders from the 2006 IHRA World Nationals in Norwalk and the discontinued 2006 Pontiac Performance NHRA Nationals in Columbus began last week. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, December 4.
“After setting a record for advance ticket sales last week, we’re sure these will be some of the hottest selling tickets on the POWERade Series circuit,” said Bader.
